Acupuncture is

A treatment that involves penetrating the skin with a very thin needle at specific points along the body. The needles can be activated further with gentle movements or the use of an electrical stimulation machine.

TCM Acupuncture + MSK Acupuncture

TCM Acupuncture was developed from the ancient practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In this type of treatment, specific points are chosen based on the presenting symptoms. These points follow meridian channels along the body that correlate with certain organ systems and have particular benefits. MSK Acupuncture was developed from physical medicine and the focus on the Musculoskeletal system. In this type of treatment, specific points are found physically through palpation of muscles and tender areas on the body to provide symptom relief. This can be paired with other techniques, such as cupping therapy, trigger point release and massage for further benefits.

If there is any sharp or shooting pain, the needle will be removed immediately and the area will be avoided moving forward.

How Quick Should I Expect to See Results?

Acupuncture treatment protocols may vary, with the average being 4-6 weeks of treatment before re-evaluation of progress.
