Rachel Scattergood

Rachel graduated from Medix College in Brampton in 2020, becoming registered with the CMTO in 2021. Born and raised in Mississauga, she went to school for horticulture after high school and has always enjoyed working physically demanding jobs. She decided to make a career change in 2017 and went back to school for massage therapy. In Mississauga she worked for a year at a massage clinic before moving up to beautiful Collingwood to be closer to her partner. She fell in love with the fresh air, beautiful landscape, and kind people.
She has worked with clients of all ages, and can do swedish, relaxation, and pre-natal massages. She loves to get to know clients and discover their goals relating to reducing pain, increasing mobility and promoting a sense of well being. She believes that maintenance including a mixture of regular treatment and following with self care exercises and stretching and heat/cold recommendations to be the most important thing a client can carry with them after treatment in order to continue/expand upon the benefits of massage.
Although she is newer to Collingwood, she is very excited to be working at a practice where locals can come and see their goals fulfilled and notice improvements treatment after treatment. She is also excited to expand her knowledge of massage through education in the future so that she can serve even more people.
